Assuming leprechauns were real, I imagine they'd be referred to as, "Homo leprecanus" or something of that caliber. Unlike the leprocaun (though I consider them feral versions of the same species), in the genus "Simiidiabolus", or "Pygamailicus", (whatever the former means). Sorry, my Latin isn't that good. Moving onto other creatures, I firmly believe that the Argopelter would be considered a a relative of Bigfoot. Which" by the way, is Fearsome Critters public domain?

General cryptid discussion
I found it randomly on google and just thought about sharing it here. Discuss I suppose.
My friend said that his friend saw something and actually physically harmed it. It was a tall humanoid creature but no hair or clothes. When he hurt it, the thing grabbed him and his arm felt like it was burning. Idk if he's lying or telling the truth but he sounds terrified right now, any idea what the thing might be and how to defend from it?
My friend saw a ver fast 5.5 ft tall pitch black wolf man with weird knees running in his creek in Union MO we would greatly appreciate help identifying it.
Meet Kerkyrasuchops, a recently discovered species of hippopotamus-like herbivorous therocephalian synapsid. Kerkyrasuchops is native to the Ionian Sea.
Kerkyrasuchops is only known from several photos and a few skeletons. No carcasses have been found of the creature.
Kerkyrasuchops was likely the inspiration for the Hippocampus of Greek mythology
It's legs are too long to be any wolf species or dog breed.
Adjule maybe?
This is just speculation.
Here's what I think of them as:
Mokele-Mbembe = A surviving modern ancestor of Tanystropheus or some type of longer-necked tortoise becoming semi-aquatic.
Mahamba = Descendant of a prehistoric crocodilian or giant croc-like amphibian.
Kasai Rex = A gigantic bipedal terrestrial crocodilian convergently evolved to resemble a theropod dinosaur.
Emela-Ntouka = Some kind of giant rhino looking much more ceratopsian.
Mbielu-Mbielu-Mbielu = A species of bichir fish taking the land route like mudskippers and Tiktaalik.
Nguma-monene = An elongated Monitor lizard becoming serpentine.
Nandi Bear = Giant baboon, similar to the prehistoric Dinopithecus looking more hyena-like.
That's all I have, but feel free to have opinions.
Idk if you know there's a channel called Thylacine awareness group on YouTube. They posted this one video showing footage of this feeding ground filled with many decaying Kangaroo corpses. I asked people in the same speculative evolution server and they told this is definitely not caused by a thylacine. Thylacines hunted only small animals, not big ones like Kangaroos. What did hunt them was the Megalania. The most giant land reptile to exist, it was twice the size of the Komodo dragon, and is related to it. It was still extant when the first polynesians arrived on Australia. Australia has lots of poorly documented forest areas, and perhaps a surviving population still exists. This could definitely explain the dinosaur sightings in Australia, as seeing a lizard over 6 meters long will make you think you're seeing a dinosaur. They only went extinct few thousand years ago, but survived until first humans arrived, so there might still be some alive today. Honestly surprised Megalania isn't a cryptid at all.
Tuschinoko is the cryptid I belive exists the most out of, even more than the thylacine. Reason why? Because this thing has so many freaking evidence that bigfoot and nessie doesn't even have. There are actual preserved bodies that miraculously still exist, just haven't got tested yet. And the tsuchinoko is not a snake. Reason why I believe this is because 1, it blinks, 2, it snores out loud, 3, it does have legs that are too small to see. These information come from a legendary book from 2004 which was originally a observation journal from world war 2, written by a doctor who caught a "nozuchi" (alternative or perhaps a related species to a tsuchinoko) and kept it as a 'pet' for 1 year, until it died. However, this book is now out of stock, because the company who published it collapsed shortly after the book came out, and the author's whereabout is unknown, as tv shows tried to contact and never got anything back. In this book there are 2 photos of the legendary creature in monochrome, and it's skeleton. There are few more sketches. There used to be more, but this doctor lived near a gas factory which had a accident and blew up, destroying most of these. But even then, this creature has many resembalance with some Tatzelwurms and Yellow-Bellies. It also has over 40+ names across Japan. I even talked this in a speculative evolution server (which usually doesn't accept cryptids to be real) and they even said a small-underground creature can go undiscovered for many years. (Like the star-nosed mole) Nozuchi or the Nocturnal Tsuchinoko live underground almost all day. They are thought to be active during 2-4 am, and eat worms. Although I don't believe this, they were recorded in the observations that they are extremely venomous, and will hiss before attacking, and jump 2 meters high. This jumping part might be a feature of the most observed Day-time Tsuchinokos. I'll try to say more later.
A cryptid/urban legend from Latin America. Not the movie the real legend
Hello. I need help with finding cryptids in kentucky can anyone help me..?
Name: Alaskan tiger
Scientific name: Panthera Tigris alaskanus
Based on sources of Siberian tiger fossils being found in Alaska. In the hypothetical world of Cryptozoologion. The White Death is the only species of tiger native to the new world being the largest cat in the Americas surpassing the jaguar.
Descending from Siberian tigers that crossed the Bering Land Bridge in prehistory hundreds of thousands of years ago, the White Death similar to polar bears evolved a mostly white coat with transparent stripes to help it camouflage into its surroundings to ambush and catch prey.
Currently ranging from Alaska, Northern Canada, and upper parts of British Columbia, this feline was respected by indigenous people as majestic and a symbol of strength and power like the brown bear featured in their myths and cultures notably in some versions a rival to both the brown and polar bear.
It once ranged all across Canada and even as far down as the northern part of the United States but years of overhunting for its fur back then had since reduced it to its current range, while currently an endangered species. Conversation efforts have since helped it where it currently sits with continued protection enduring its survival.
The hibagon aka Japan's bigfoot/sasquatch.
In reality in the world of Cryptozoologicon is the largest species of macaque as well as monkey surpassing even the mandrill reaching such a size having convergently evolved to appear like a gorilla, filling that niche in its ecosystem.
Once native throughout Japan in prehistoric times, now critically endangered native only on Mount Hiba in the Hiroshima Prefecture.
My idea for a speculative cactus cat is a large green horned toad. In order to avoid being eaten, the cactus cat has evolved to appear like that of a bobcat, having larger head spikes to appear like ears, and darker colored spines dotted around its body to mimic the pattern of a bobcat. In result of its green colorization and spines, some animals might mistake it for a cactus. Like their reptilian cousins, cactus cats can shoot blood from their eyes. Cactus cats prey on small desert animals such as rodents, hares, birds, small reptiles, and of course, cacti and when water is scarce, some may drink the cactus juice.

Binomial name: Gatakakton sonoran
Given the Grootslang and its elephantine appearance, the ears are quite easy to explain as actually being a hood, similar to the kind seen within Cobras. Similarly, the tusk can be explained as being the creature's fangs, which do not fold back into the mouth like most venomous species'In a unique twist of evolution, the Grootslang had developed an extendable upper 'lip' which bears remarkable similarities to the trunks seen within Elephants (albeit, nowhere near as flexible). The Grootslang utilizes this lip to grab and hold onto far larger prey items than most snakes, and even provide a slightly greater reach to most of its strikes.
[Imagine, if you will, a mashup of the two following images]

In the hypothetical world of Cryptozoologicon. The Grootslang is the world's largest, and most unique, member of the Cobra family. Growing between 10 and 20 feet in length, the Grootslang dwarfs its 2nd largest relative, the King Cobra. Like the other members of the Cobra family, the Grootslang is equipped with a pair of fangs. Unlike them, however, they lack venom and are incapable of being retracted. This has left some scientists to theorize they are utilized primarily for display when attracting potential mates, or to ward off those who would approach their lair. Yet the most distinguishing feature of the Grootslang lies within its elongated upper lip, which is believed to have developed in order to provide the large, and consequently slow, animal with greater reach during its strikes. Such an adaptation allows the animal an even greater margin of error when it comes to ambushing any potential meals.
Credit of the idea goes to Dreadflyer on SpaceBattles.
My idea for a speculative quetzalcoatl is a large yi qi and or ambopteryx. They migrated from China to Central and South America (both were closer to china in the late jurassic but still were kinda far away so i'm still not entirely sure how they made it). Because of the abundance of food, over time, the "proto-quetzalcoatls" grew larger and larger and developed a plume with a greenish hue for camoflague and eventually a more colorful plume in males. Quetzalcoatls prey on small to medium sized animals such as tapirs, large amazonian fish, and even ahuizotls. Because of their intimidating presence and immense size, they were worshipped by the mesoamerican cultures at the time.
Binomial name: Pterophis deus
My idea for a speculative werewolf is a large, almost human-like baboon. They evolved in Africa and migrated towards Asia and finally, Europe. Although they are primarily quadrupedal, they occasionally move bipedal. They are the apex predators in their ecosystems and prey on livestock, fruits, nuts, and occasionally humans. They exhibit strange behavior on full moons, where they go on a hunting spree until they have acquired enough food to last until another full moon.
Binomial name: Lupusapiens lycanthropis
Well I did became up my theory about The beast of the Bray Road so I just I say these dogman (or werewolf) did had shape shift abilities before that these entities are aliens also dogman are not spirits there living organisms too but I was saying that they came from another universe (dimension) that they to ability to shapeshift into human form or other wolf forms they had it so extraterrestrials came their universe getting peace with them and given their religion their werewolf kind but they refused to give a new religion they had their own religion they had their own religion but these aliens declare war on them their kingdoms that so let's just say that they went a war about 13 years in war about extraterrestrials to capture them or kidnapping too but put mixing the virus and cells to create a super-cells to put werewolf body to had no longer too ability to shapeshift so there like curse but not really they were infected by super-cell to mix in a cell and virus and also they put them to earth to open the portal to get live our universe and other werewolves, didn't lost ability shapeshift. These werewolves still had the ability to shapeshift but some werewolves had lost ability shapeshift so that beast of Bray Road had did lost ability to shapeshift but also I think that beast of bray road that trying to find a cure to get rid of super-cell (or super-virus) but they are two types werewolves the first one are werewolves - they had to ability to shapeshift but that they aren't curse they live cities or in the wild and second one are curse werewolves that had no ability to shapeshift also they had lost control to become a animal but sometimes they don't. Also werewolves are speaking in proto human language they speak too but their true language are unknown but curse werewolves can teleport to disappear and reappeared from other locations from our home planet earth or go to other universe also no they aren't from hell they are from other universe. But when I watch it on about beast of bray road that said "Gadara" that I think that he wanted their child (Like son or daughter) back that he had lost his family that he think that aliens did kidnap their beast of Bray road's child called "Gadara" but I really don't know that post be boy name or girl name but also you guys heard that from christian reilgious that man was filled with demons that you think but with I think that beast of bray road said different way that he said and he digging something to find cure so I think that aliens did put cure buried it to deep in the ground that beast of bray road to find it somewhere in the church in the graveyard. Also no beast of bray road isn't demonic entity or spirit. That beast of bray road is an animal or cryptid (Hidden animal) so I think these werewolves are not evil that were good werewolves before. Also that I see on these pictures of mist fog are post be beast of bray road that people they saw so that I think these curse werewolves are camouflage themselves from their photos trying to hide themselves but sometimes they don't hide themselves from photos without camouflage.
