Hmmm... Favorite is a very hard call, there's so many that I love! Would the Snallygaster count or not, since it was mostly a hoax? (Though possibly generated from a couple real sightings.) or Night Crawlers?
If neither of those fit, (And it's still a hard choice. =P ) then I'm gonna go with the Michigan Dogman.
I would say Koakun Klun, which afif helped put up a picture, interestingly, it's not in the cryptid section. You have to search up Klun here. Another,is this red cheetah that lives out in Tennessee, and the BushMan!
The cryptid wiki doesn't have a very active forum unfortunately... But geez, I did some research, and the popobawa seems like a major pedophile!! Damn... (Quoting wikipedia) "Its nocturnal attacks can comprise simple physical assault and/or poltergeist-like phenomena; but most feared is sexual assault and the sodomising of adult men and women. Victims are often urged to tell others that they have been assaulted, and are threatened with repeat visits by Popobawa if they do not."
Nice list! Mine would have to be either sea monsters, prehistoric creatures, or giant birds and the chupacabra. I like sea monsters just because you never know what's beneath you... And think that we only know less than 5 percent of the whole ocean, and look at its diverse ecosystem already!
At the end of the day I'd have to go with Mothman - the red eyes and the physical appearance, its connection to tragedy, and the vastly different conspiracies people come up for for him make the mothman my favorite.
I really like some good old grey alien stories (ayy lmao) and the men in black/grinning men.
My top twenty .1.chupacabra.2..Mothman.3.baku.4.puerto Rican chupacabra.5.beast of dean.6. bigfoots(yeti,Sasquatch,Yeren,and yowie).7.jersey devil.8.mapinguari.9.nessie.10.cadborosaurus.11.mngwa.12.bunyip.13.ahool.14.tschionio(that fat jumping viper).15.rods.16.tatzelwurum.17.emela-ntouka.18.lone pine mountain devil.19.hidebehind.20.shadow people. -cryptohunter
Mine one is the Chupacabra. I find it quite of a badass creature, and used it on a book I wrote but still don´t know if I will try to publish it. The one featured on that story of mine is a rogue female, and she acts as the secondary villain of the story, threatening the rural village where the story takes place and also threatening the life and the animals of the story´s deuteragonist, a farm girl on her late teens.
