Ghost Ranch in New Mexico is a treasure trove of unique dinosaur finds, all of them more than two hundred million years old. However, Ghost Ranch is more renowned for its paranormal activity than its fossils.
Throughout the years, people have reported seeing a strange, snake-like apparition in Ghost Ranch. According to witnesses, this ghost was huge, from twenty to thirty feet in length. They called the spirit at Ghost Ranch 'Vivaron, the snake-demon'. In 1947, paleontologist Edwin Colbert unearthed many fossil skeletons in Ghost Ranch of prehistoric reptiles. Of the remains, there was a thirty-foot long crocodile-like animal called a phytosaur. The discovery led some to believe that the phytosaur was haunting Ghost Ranch.
