Hello all. There are a few misconceptions about me that stated that I have a disdain for cryptids. That couldn't be further from the truth. I am actually quite interested in cryptids as well as other divisions of pseudoscience. However, what interests me the most is how people perceive cryptids.
Personally, I do not believe in most cryptids because they do not carry sufficient scientific evidence that back up their existence. I do not believe in some of the more well-known cryptids such as Bigfoot or the Mothman because of all the hoaxes and misidentifications associated with them. It's a case of "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me".
However, this doesn't mean that I do not believe in every cryptid. There is only one cryptid that I believe could exist - that is the thylacine. The reason why I believe that the thylacine could still exist is because there is a sizable amount of evidence that suggests that some individuals could have survived until the 21st century. For example, the 1973 tape is very convincing as it clearly shows the key features of the animal - the unique run, the rear stripes and its gait.
